My kids will learn the hard way - Federline
June 2, 2006

Kevin Federline wants his children to work in fast food restaurants.

The fledging rapper - who is expecting his second child with wife Britney Spears, and already has two children with former partner Shar Jackson - insists he wants his offspring to learn about the hardships of life at a young age.

He told America's Item magazine: "My kids are going to have to learn what a real job is, what life is. You don't have it easy with me. Period. My kids are going to work at Taco Bell, dammit."

The 28-year-old former dancer also complained about being overshadowed by his famous wife.

He said: "I wish people would ask me about my career. Usually its, 'How's the wife and kids?'

"The day they judge me as an artist, not Britney Spears' husband, that's the day I am looking forward to."

Kevin's frustration surfaced last month when he reportedly banned Britney from his Las Vegas concert.

Kevin was said to have ordered his Toxic singer spouse to stay away from the showcase, at which he played two songs from his forthcoming debut album, Playing With Fire, over fears she would "upstage" him.

One onlooker said: "It was a full-blown war of words. It was a very bad night for Britney.

"Kevin didn't want Britney overshadowing him on the red carpet. Britney fled the restaurant and raced up to her suite alone, boycotting his performance."
