Durban — A team of grass cutters discovered a severely decomposed man’s body in Jacobs, in the south of Durban.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said that at approximately 2pm on Wednesday, Emer-G-Med paramedics were called to assist on Bluff Road in Jacobs.
This was after “a maintenance team conducting grass cutting in the area made the gruesome discovery of a severely decomposed adult male’s body in a stormwater drain”.
Van Reenen said the scene was secured with the assistance of Blue Security and handed over to the South African Police Services who will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly.
Police spokesperson Constable Thembeka Ngcobo said an inquest docket is being investigated by Brighton Beach SAPS.
“It is alleged that this afternoon (Wednesday) at 2pm, a decomposed body of an unknown man was found in the bush on Bluff Road. Circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.”
