Durban — Two suspects appeared in the Camperdown Magistrate’s Court after they allegedly stole copper cables from a farm in the Camperdown area.
Magma Security & Investigations said on Monday at about 10.45am, their control room received a complaint of cable theft at a farm in the Ingomankulu area.
“Information led the investigation team to two suspects with whom the stolen cable was found,” Magma Security & Investigations said.
“SAPS Camperdown was called and the two suspects were handed over to them.”
Magma Security & Investigations added that 31 bundles of copper wire were recovered.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Nqobile Gwala confirmed the incident and said Camperdown police arrested two suspects aged 27 and 33 for theft.
She said the suspects appeared in the Camperdown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday (today).
“The suspects were arrested after they allegedly stole copper cables on September 26 at a farm in the Camperdown area,” Gwala said.
