When it comes to romance and punchlines, Trevor Noah seems to have a knack for both.
His ex, Jordyn Taylor Braff, has recently shared some intriguing insights into their relationship, including a light-hearted accusation that the comedian "borrowed" some of her jokes.
Their love story began in 2015, a time when Noah was making his big move to the US to take over the reins of “The Daily Show”.
The pair met through X (formerly known as Twitter) and sparks flew. For a while, it seemed like they were a match made in heaven — or at least when it came to the land of luxury apartments.
Braff, a stunning model and singer, didn't just stand by Noah's side but she helped him make some significant moves in the Big Apple. She played a pivotal role in his foray into luxury real estate, aiding in his $10 million apartment purchase.
"That's the only time you'll ever hear that I slept with a client," she laughed.
But as all good things must come to an end as did their relationship.
In 2018, the two called it quits and Braff confirmed their split during an Instagram Q&A.
She shared: "Of course I love him. How could you not love him? I love him so much but you guys should know we broke up this past summer."
The model appears in Netflix's latest real estate reality TV series, “Selling The City”. In the second episode, “Trouble in Tribeca”, Braff opened up about her past relationship with Noah, telling her co-star Abigail Godfrey that “love” brought her to New York City.
The agent also made it clear that while Noah might have borrowed her heart, he also borrowed her jokes.
"I was the funnier one in the relationship," she declared. "Trevor borrowed me for material all the time. I think I was the subject of jokes from time to time but he would also steal my material, a hundred percent."
In a confessional-style clip, she spilled the beans on how their relationship started with a serendipitous meet-up in Manhattan.
"I was here visiting and we met up but I was so nervous. He’s a celebrity. But, at the time, he was a nobody. No one knew who he was," she shared.
The deal was sealed with her quirky charm as she confessed to doing lunges in the street to calm her nerves — a move that apparently won Noah over.
Despite the comedic heists, Braff did give Noah credit where it was due. She acknowledged that he was instrumental in kick-starting her real estate career.
"He ended up purchasing an apartment and it was my first ultra-luxury deal. I think it was a $10-million deal," she noted.
Noah’s romantic escapades have been quite the topic over the years. Apart from Jordyn Taylor Braff, the funnyman has been linked to a few other stunning women, including Dani Gabriel and Minka Kelly.
