Actress Linda Sebezo has clapped back at the criticism after a video of her doing her monthly groceries at Shoprite was shared by a TikTok user recently.
TikTok user unathi.hlongwane spotted the “Isitha: The Enemy” actress doing her groceries at the supermarket recently.
In the video, she was spotted and recorded at the Shoprite till as she was packing away her items in a shopping cart.

The TikTok user has been criticised for sharing the video. Supporters emphasized that Sebezo can shop wherever she wishes to since she uses her own money to do so.
The South African Film and Television (SAFTA) Award-winning actress did not take kindly to the criticism.
In a recent TikTok post, she told her followers and critics that she is a simple person who lives a simple life and does not pressure herself to spend a lot of money shopping at expensive stores.
She said she lived within her means and does not want to be asking for donations from people in the future. She added that people on social media bully artists and it has now gone too far.
“We have children, and they hurt when they see such things,” says Sebezo.

Sebezo told critics that she’s a simple person from Soweto and that people should leave her alone.
Her supporters defended her, praising her for staying true to herself and not conforming to standards that would put unnecessary pressure on her.
“Nothing wrong with shopping at Shoprite, my dear,” said Adolphina Modise on TikTok.
“You don’t live to please people ❤️❤️❤️,” added Brenda Mokoena.
