Popular South African actress, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has released the second collection of her brand, Essie Apparel.
Mlotshwa debuted her first collection in 2023 however she founded her fashion brand in 2019.
Her first Autumn/Winter collection was released in 2019 at the 2020 SA Fashion Week.
In total she has released at least 4 collections since she debuted her career in fashion.
The acclaimed fashion designer released her second collection during the 2025 South African Fashion Week at Melrose Arch.
The collection consisted of 12 looks in total with 2 of each having the same patterns, colours but different designs and cuts.
Her AW25 collection had some of the colours including denim inspired black, greys, pink and some looks were colour bright green and pink leopard print designs.
After the show, Neo Ndemande, a fashion broadcaster spoke to Mlotshwa about her collection.
“I closed fashion week, I am so grateful that they offered me to close fashion week.”
Ndemande asked Mlotshwa what she is loving currently when it comes to women’s fashion and what she is drawing inspiration from.
“I think women’s fashion is so playful right now. There are no rules and I love that there are no rules. Today I wanted to step away from what I usually do and I played with colour.
“I did what cannot be done with denim. Yesterday I said my finale dress will be denim. I had a finale dress and I changed my mind.
“I think women’s fashion goes from simple, chic to overtop bold” she said.

Mlotshwa has dressed many South African celebrities such as the late Connie Chiume.
