South African award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest took to social media to write a heart-warming message to his wife, Pulane Phoolo, as they celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, the 34-year-old penned a long and sweet caption dedicated to his wife.
He wrote: ”Can’t believe it’s been a year already since I got married to my person. Ngwanyana wa Motswana wa sematsatsa!!! Ous Mpopi! (A beautiful Tswana woman, a doll)
“Keago rata saan (I love you). Commonly, when one wants to write something reflecting on a full year or a relationship, there’s a lot of pain and trauma. We have had our fair share.
"I don’t wanna reflect on that, though. What I wanna talk about today is the fact that you gave me a chance to be with the woman I loved the most. I was the happiest man alive the day you said to me and agreed to be my wife and I will never forget what a privilege it is that you afforded me."
The father of one added that he doesn’t plan on giving up on their love or calling another woman his wife as he is doing this marriage thing only once in his life.
According to online reports, the pair dated on and off since 2018/2019 before going public about their relationship and walking down the aisle.
Social media users were surprised when the "Kusho Bani" hitmaker married his childhood sweetheart in 2024. Content from their lobola and wedding was leaked online and quickly went viral.
Social media users shared that they even thought that it was a music video since the wedded pair never posted about their wedding until days later.
The couple received social media backlash after Nyovest’s baby mama, Thobeka Majozi, took to social media to express that, while their son was battling with cancer, Nyovest was not there for them.
Netizens quickly labelled Phoolo as a homewrecker and called Nyovest an absent father.
Despite the scrutiny, the pair continue to show their love for each other on social media.
