Take notes, people. Singer and actor Selena Gomez has dished out some pretty good dating advice.

Recently, the "Only Murders In The Building" star and her music producer fiancé, Benny Blanco, visited "The Drew Barrymore Show", where she opened up about her journey with relationships.

When Barrymore asked her what advice she would give to women looking for a good partner, Gomez highlighted the importance of self-completion and understanding self-value.

"I think any human can feel this way. You go through a lot of different stages in your life, and some things make you more insecure, some things make you feel unsafe, you're paranoid all the time about who you're waking up to that day.

"It's very realist and it happens, but I remember when I went through my last break-up, I said to myself that I think I should probably just spend some time with myself first."

Diving deeper into her personal experiences, Gomez reflected on her relationship with her fiancé, admitting that had they met a decade earlier, their relationship may not have thrived.

She explained how essential self-discovery and inner work were in preparing her for a meaningful partnership.

"So my advice would be to simply understand what you deserve but also understand that you don't need to complete someone. You want to be fully complete ... If I would have dated him 10 years ago, it wouldn't have worked."

She shared that she had to do a lot of work on herself.

"I had to reteach myself behavioral patterns and all this stuff, and then he came in, and I just completely fell head over heels over the way he speaks, the way he carries himself."

Meanwhile, Gomez, who is currently knee-deep in planning their wedding, revealed that she has only one wish for her special day.

She expressed her hope that her "Only Murders In The Building" co-star Martin Short would deliver a memorable speech.

"Marty is due to give a speech," she said with excitement, believing that his words would be nothing short of epic.

There’s no forgetting Steve Martin either.

Gomez joked that he would likely incorporate his musical talents into the celebration: “He’ll probably pull out his banjo."
