Nhlanhla Mafu, the lead singer of the iconic South African music group Mafikizolo, is preparing to walk down the aisle for the second time this Friday, October 4.
The musician announced the joyous news on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt Bible verse: “So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has put together, let not man separate. 04.10.24."
This wedding marks a new chapter in Mafu's personal life after her 2019 divorce from record label executive-turned-politician Thembinkosi "TK" Nciza in 2019 after 15 years of marriage.
Mafu has kept her love life relatively private. In July, however, Mafu shared a rare glimpse of her partner, captioning the post with the romantic isiZulu phrase, “Ungchaza may’sethi 'Sondela, ngiqabule, weshukela wami,“ which translates to “I love it when he says, 'Come closer, kiss me, my sugar.“
The announcement has been met with excitement and love from fans, friends, and fellow celebrities.
In the comments section, media personality @SomiziMhlongo shared his congratulations, jokingly recalling his own wedding. “Oksalayo ubamba nam to esihogweni u we're at my wedding. Congrats mamasita. The love I know u deserve.”
Actor @Katlego Danke also sent her well wishes, writing, “Congratulations to you! May God forever hold your union in His hands.”
@Mpho Maboi, another well-known figure, expressed her joy: “OMG congratulations babe. That man adores you. I'm so so happy to see this.”
Mafu’s Mafikizolo co-member, @Theo Kgosinkwe, added his own heartfelt message in Sesotho, “Congratulations to you le lerato la pelo ya hao, reya le lebohisa halala,” further underscoring the love and support surrounding the upcoming wedding.
