A woman’s petty reaction to a waitress calling her husband “sweetheart” has set the internet on fire.
Instead of leaving a proper tip, the offended wife left just two cents, along with a message scribbled on the receipt.
Savannah, a married content creator, took to TikTok to share the interaction, making it clear she wasn’t amused by the waitress’s choice of words.
She scrawled on the receipt, “Don’t call my husband sweetheart,” making sure the waitress knew exactly why she was being stiffed.
The bill came to $40.21, but rather than tipping the standard amount, Savannah added just two cents out of what many online are calling pure spite. This brought the total to $40.23.
Her TikTok video, captioned “Don’t play with me,” quickly went viral, racking up over 10 million views.

As expected, viewers had a lot to say about her behaviour.
Some users defended the wife, arguing that the waitress was overstepping boundaries. However, the overwhelming response was criticism, with many calling the act petty, insecure, and unnecessary.
“Insecure and BROKE. pick a struggle,” one commenter wrote.
Others pointed out that calling customers terms like “sweetheart” or “hun” is common in the service industry, with no romantic intent.
“As someone who works at a restaurant, i have a coworker who calls everyone love, sweetie, etc.. it doesn’t matter how old or who they are.. i promise she doesn’t want your man,” commented another.
Another former waitress said, “Girl I was a waitress for a few summers and I call everyone honey. Men, women, kids. I had someone petty not tip me.”
