This amazing piece of art-deco sculpture started life as an ordinary first-generation Bentley Continental GT bit British Racing Green with Saffron interior. The client brought it to Bulgarian design studio Vilner with the brief to make it distinctly individual, expressing his personal style.
So the guys at Vilner replaced all the external body panels except the roof (which is part of the shell) using mostly carbon-fibre, in the process making the car 130mm longer in front and 160mm longer at the rear.
These included new bumpers front and rear, a new front fascia, front splitter and rear spoiler in clear-coated carbon fibre, rear diffuser and custom tailpipes. Even the insides of the headlight clusters were replace with carbon fibre, and the tail lights were also given carbon-fibre accents.
Then the entire body - other than the clear-coated components - was finished in very dark matte grey.
The interior was trimmed in black with dark red accents, using smooth black leather, black leather with a snakeskin pattern and black alcantara, with the seatbelts and stitching in dark red.
There's more dark red on the door pockets, armrest and gearshift lever, while Bentley's 'winged B' logo has been embroidered on seats in dark red.
All the wood-veneer trim was finished with a 'feathered' effect and covered in clear varnish.
The black alcantara headlining echoes the pattern of the leather on the seats, and a new leather-trimmed steering wheel was painstakingly moulded to the shape of the owners hands
UNDER THE BONNET
Since this project was more about style than performance, the mechanical work was limited to fitting a less restrictive exhaust system and remapping the ECU, increasing power output from 411kW and 650NM to 485kW and 780Nm, and top speed from 318 to 325km/h.
