The not-so-mini Mini Countryman has only been around for two years, so it's no surprise that the round of upgrades for the 2013 model year are rather minor.
While there are numerous small changes to the cabin, the outside story is limited to a range of new colours that include Brilliant Copper and Blazing Red metallics.
Inside the 'new' Countryman you'll find changes to the interior colours and trim elements. Newly designed rings encircle the centre speedo and the air vents now come in Carbon Black as standard and also have an inner ring in high-gloss black.
The door inserts have actually been redesigned, as have the arm rests, which Mini claims are now more comfortable for the arms. The electric window controls have been moved from the centre console to this part of the car.
What's more, all models now come with a three-seat rear bench as standard, but individual rear seats are still available as a no-cost option.
Mini has not announced any major changes to the engine range, which means South Africa models are likely to soldier on with the current line-up, which includes 90kW, 135kW and 160kW 1.6-litre petrol engines, the latter two turbocharged.
