Meet the cheekiest version of the new Mini family. Though technically it's a concept, it's unlikely that the showroom version of the Mini John Cooper Works will look very different to this.
Mini has yet to provide any detail about what's under the bonnet of the new JCW, but it's practically a given that this little monster will be shoved along by a peppered up version of the 2-litre turbopetrol engine that's fitted to the new Cooper S.
What power level they'll tune it to remains a mystery, although they'll certainly look at bettering the current JCW's 155kW/280Nm outputs. The sky's the limit really, considering that the BMW-sourced motor produces up to 180kW in the 328i.
Style-wise, the John Cooper Works Concept flaunts a 'Bright Highways Grey' exterior paint job, with the familiar Mini red colour accents.
The little critter sits on chunky 18-inch alloy wheels and also sports some bespoke styling and aerodynamic features to set it apart from the tamer Cooper S, including bolder front and rear aprons and a large rear spoiler.
The concept is also fitted with a sports exhaust system, which Mini promises will deliver an unmistakable engine soundtrack.
