A 23-year-old man is expected to appear in the Atlantis Magistrate’s Court in the Western Cape on Monday after being caught red-handed with an assortment of drugs.
On Friday, the 23-year-old man was stopped by members of the City of Cape Town Law Enforcement after he appeared very confused while walking along the R27 just past the Koeberg Power Station at about 10am.
The provincial police spokesperson, Captain Frederick van Wyk said an ambulance and members of the Melkbosstrand SAPS were called out.
“On arrival, the person was found with a black suitcase and a black bucket. The members interviewed the person and could see the man was heavily under the influence. While searching the person, they found magic mushrooms and dagga in the bucket. They then searched the suitcase and found prescription medication, methamphetamine [tik] and cocaine inside,” Van Wyk said.
