Putin praises Foreign Ministry's Defence of Russian interests amid global tensions

The Russian Foreign Ministry firmly defends the country's legitimate national interests and ensures effective interaction with the world's majority states, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

"Please accept my sincere congratulations on your professional holiday – Diplomatic Worker’s Day ... Continuing these traditions with dignity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs firmly and consistently defends the legitimate national interests of Russia in the current very difficult international situation, ensures effective interaction with the states of the world majority in order to build a fair multipolar world order based on mutual respect, the rule of international law, and the principles of equal and indivisible security," Putin said in a congratulatory message, as quoted by the Kremlin.

The Russian Foreign Ministry will continue to work with maximum efficiency, strengthening Russia's foreign policy positions, the president said, adding that protection of the rights of Russian citizens abroad requires special attention from the ministry.
