Golden Arrows will look to build on their positive start in the Betway Premiership as they take on Marumo Gallants at the Mpumalanga Stadium on Saturday.
The KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit, who recently roped in club legend Kagisho Dikgacoi as a co-coach alongside Mabhuti Khanyeza, pulled off a shock 2-0 win away against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday.
Abafana Bes’thende have struggled in the Premiership in recent seasons and finished outside the top 8 for three consecutive seasons. This campaign however, they are looking to change the club's fortunes around.
Co-coach Khanyeza, outlining the club's vision for this season, emphasised the need for his side to be more competitive, highlighting the importance of imposing their style of play against opponents.
"We want to make sure that we want to rectify our mistakes but be very competitive and like I said if we play the way we want to play we will impose our game all the wherever we play.
"But we will be a better team not only in playing even tactically but there's also a lot thing that needs to touch on," the Abafana Bes’thende mentor said to 10 bets.
Marumo Gallants on the other hand will be looking to bounce back after their 2-1 loss to Soweto giants Kaizer at the Toyota Stadium last Saturday.
In their opening home loss to Chiefs on Saturday, there was a lot of positive takeaways for the Free State-based outfit, as they had decent spells of position throughout the match and were able to effectively impose their style of play on the Soweto giants.
Gallants also have experienced players such as former Orlando Pirates midfielder Xola Mlambo and former Golden Arrows defender Rikhotso Mathiane and Malesela will be hoping they come to the party as he looks to get his first win.
