CAPE TOWN – It has been a week of ups and downs for Bafana Bafana, but now it’s almost game time.

And charismatic goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune wants Mzansi to get behind the South African team in Saturday’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

The match will kick off at 3pm on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Bafana seldom attract big crowds like Khune’s club Kaizer Chiefs does, and he will hoping for a change in that regard on Saturday.

Khune has recovered sufficiently from an arm injury that kept him out of a recent Chiefs league game against Bloemfontein Celtic.

The first-choice Bafana goalie was back between the sticks for the MTN8 semi-final second leg defeat against SuperSport United last weekend.

“Hi, I’m Itumeleng Khune, goalkeeper of Bafana Bafana. Please come join us at Moses Mabhida on Saturday, as we take on Libya in the Afcon qualifiers. Show the love!” Khune said in the video on Thursday.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper is set to earn his 88th cap for Bafana against Libya.
